10 Daily Habits to Flawless skin: Make it a habit to achieve your best skin possible.. Are you doing these things below to insure your products are giving you your best results?  If not, add these to your daily lifestyle and see if you achieve more positive results over time   I am here to help you

  1.  Habits of eating well: What you put into your body is as important as the products you put on your face. Eat a healthy diet, including a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables. They’re packed with vitamins and antioxidants that can do wonders for your complexion.
  2. 2. Drink lots of water. When you’re properly hydrated, skin looks and feels softer, smoother and younger. Mary recommends drinking extra water during and after exercise and when you’re out in the sun and heat.

3. Exercise regularly: Daily exercise not only boosts your mood; it relieves stress, improves circulation and can lead to more radiant skin.

4. Hands off. Breakout-triggering, pore-clogging bacteria is everywhere. Avoid touching your face, and when you do, wash your hands with soap and water first. Keep the other objects that touch your face as germ-free as possible, too. Clean your cell phone regularly, and sanitize your makeup brushes and applicators weekly.

5. Wear SPF. A broad-spectrum sunscreen is “the most important product to use every day,” every single day, rain or shine, indoors or out. Remember to apply it to your neck, chest and hands, too.

6. Seek shade. Speaking of the sun, your best bet is to stay out of it or wear with a wide-brimmed hat and large sunglasses to protect your face and eyes from damaging rays.

7. Wash nightly. Each day, your skin is exposed to pollution, bacteria, sweat and grime, not to mention makeup. None of these things belong on your face — or your pillow.

8. Cleanse kindly. Don’t traumatize your skin. Stick to lukewarm water (too-cold or too-hot water can be irritating) and avoid overzealous scrubbing.

9. Exfoliate regularly. Use a gentle product, like ENHANCEMENTS Micro-Dermabrasion Paste, on your face and body up to three times per week to reveal brighter, smoother and softer-looking skin.

10. Moisturize daily. As you age natural moisture levels decrease. If skin is over dry, it can become easily irritated or start over-producing oil. All skin types can benefit from our Active Hydration Serum; according to an 8-day U.S. clinical study, it increases hydration levels by 200% after just one use and keeps it there for eight hours.

Organic Skin Care and You

Organic skin care.   This  topic came up in conversation this morning and coincidentally, my friend and fellow consultant, Julie, had some info to share on the same exact topic this afternoon so I thought I would share it with you too.  What is safe skin?

ORGANIC. NATURAL. SAFE.
These are popular buzz words… especially in the Bay Area commonly referring to food + beverages. However, I hear it a lot in relation to skincare…I may get some opposition  on this but talking about all aspects of skin care is what I do

Does your skincare leave you feeling fruity?

“I only use organic/natural skincare.”

Don’t get me wrong, organic/natural is GREAT when it comes to food and beverage because the “organic” label actually means something about how the food is grown and processed. But, this principle does NOT apply to skincare. No one is REGULATING the “organic” or “natural” claims on cosmetic and skincare products.

Companies could add a trace amount of pomegranate for scent and call something “organic”. The “organic” or “natural” label is merely a marketing technique that taps into your fears of chemicals. http://ginasjourney1.com/want-the-best-in-skin-care/

Poison Oak is natural, but I wouldn’t rub it on my face. Bacteria is natural, but I wouldn’t rub it on my face either. I’d much prefer an FDA-approved preservative to keep the bacteria from growing in my skincare.

Be careful of what marketing ploys you fall for and or fear tactics others use to get you to try their products. “Organic” or “natural” CERTAINLY won’t treat your skin concerns by providing you dramatic results. I’d much rather use clinically-proven products that have been painstakingly vetted to ensure their safety and are created by successful dermatologists that actually prove their products GET RESULTS. http://ginasjourney1.com/1289-2/

Food for thought: people wind up with medical issues because they DON’T use good skincare, not because they DO.

P.S. In California your favorite cup of coffee is soon to be labeled as cancer causing. You gonna stop drinking it? Probably not because you won’t be huffing the harmful fumes they are referencing when the beans are roasted that are cancer causing. Right? It’s all about perspective.

I LOVE representing skincare products that are kind to the environment! 🐠🐸🐳🌿

💙 The vegetable gel capsules from the Redefine Intensive Renewing Serum and the Redefine Lip Renewing Serum all start to disintegrate when they come in contact with water.

💙 Our Microdermabrasion Paste doesn’t have those non-biodegradable beads in them, our product uses sugar and salt to polish your skin and get rid of the dead skin cells.

💙 R+F NEVER tests their products on animals.

💙 All the R+F products are in recyclable containers and clearly state on them, “Please recycle.”

We believe in empowering ALL women…. even Mother Nature!

💧 Hydrating the Equestrian 💧

I just spent the most amazing weekend photographing and hydrating the equestrians who are some of the most talented riders around. I helped them to stay hydrated not just internally but on their skin also. Playing in the dust takes it’s toll on all of our skin, it is really important to maintain your skins balance and keep it hydrated because that will prevent aging and other skin conditions from happening. I shared with them hydration at 200%.

💦💦💦 What is Hydration Serum 💦💦💦
💥SHOP IT HERE. Hydration Serum 💥

A: Active Hydration Serum is not like any other product. The 3D3P Molecular Matrix is a patent-pending, one-of-a-kind structure, invented in our R+F lab. They created a new molecule to address hydration in a different way, binding Glycerin to Hyaluronic Acid and ATTRACTING moisture from the atmosphere (regardless of where you live-no matter humid or dry climate) to the skin throughout the day as needed.

Hydration and moisturizers address dryness differently. While moisturizers work to form a barrier on top of the skin to prevent moisture loss, hydration actually ADDS moisture to the skin instantly, and through out the day. ALL skin types need hydration, just like all skin types need moisture.

I am loving what this is doing for my skin! My face feels so different to the touch it’s hard to even describe, but it’s good!!

💦Balance oily skin
💦Plump Wrinkles
💦Reduce Fine Lines
💦Visible Firmness and younger acting skin
💦Added Brightness

What is hyaluronic acid?!

👉🏻hyaluronic acid secures moisture and creates fullness—youthful skin naturally abounds with hyaluronic acid
👉🏻As we age, skin moisture can drop significantly, which makes the skin lose elasticity and expose the signs of aging on the skin.
👉🏻Hyaluronic acid plays a critical role in skin health with its unique ability to hold in moisture (1000 ml of water per gram of hyaluronic acid).
👉🏻Hyaluronic acid keeps collagen synthesis up, as well as retaining skin moisture, contributing to the anti-aging benefits to the skin.

Everyone needs this. Here’s why.

For starters, it’s a molecule that is naturally found in your skin as well as the connective tissue in your body. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring polysaccharide found in the human body.

It acts as a cushioning and lubrication agent for our joints, nerves, hair, skin, and eyes.

The reason the beauty industry loves it so much lies in its magical ability to retain moisture.

One gram of hyaluronic acid can hold up to six liters of water. Lack of moisture is one of the main culprits of aging skin, which is why this ingredient—which attracts moisture to your skin—is a must-have when it comes to repairing your skin’s moisture barrier.

The HA molecule is too large to penetrate the top layer of skin. So, it sets up shop on your skin’s surface and gets to work grabbing and holding moisture so your skin can absorb it and stay healthy and hydrated alllllllll day.
